#1 E-Bike Motors

These motors are lighter in weight, have a better centre of gravity and provide better bike handling characteristics. The only downside is that mid-mounted motors can be more expensive than hub drive motors. But if you can afford it, the extra cost is worth it.
#2 E-Bike Classes
There are three basic Types of electric bikes:
1) TYPE 1 E-Bike: Pedal Assist, is an electric bike where you have to pedal to use the motor. It's like a traditional bike with the addition of a motor that senses you are pedaling and activates to help with the pedals. It feels like you'll always have the best tailwind of your life. It is still considered a 'bicycle' and does not require a driving licence, licence plate etc. It is legally considered to be a bicycle. By law, a helmet is required. Usually, this category is best suited to people who commute by bicycle.
